Tesla Megapack systems come with the most advanced autonomous control software available to ensure customers maximize economic benefits. Megapack software learns and predicts energy patterns, optimizes battery dispatch to reduce electricity bills, increases consumption of on-site solar, and enables various grid services.
Megapack stores energy for the grid reliably and safely, eliminating the need for gas peaker plants and helping to avoid outages. Each unit can store over 3 MWh of energy—that’s enough energy to power an average of 3,600 homes for one hour.

Through vertical integration, Tesla Megapack is designed and manufactured with safety built directly into the product. Megapack systems include an integrated liquid cooling and heating system for thermal safety as well as enhanced reliability and performance.
Megapack delivers more power and reliability at a lower cost over its lifetime. Each battery module is paired with its own inverter for improved efficiency and increased safety. With over-the-air software updates, Megapack gets better over time.
